JD.com Opens First JD MALL in Hong Kong — A New Chapter for Experiential Retail
JD.com has officially opened its first JD MALL in Hong Kong on 18 June 2026, located in the heart of Wan Chai. Spanning over 30,000 square feet at Harbour Centre, the flagship store marks a significant milestone in JD.com’s expansion into the Greater Bay Area and international consumer markets.
A New Era of Experiential Retail
JD MALL introduces Hong Kong’s first “try before you buy” immersive retail concept, departing from the traditional electronics store model. Shoppers can test products in real-life scenarios — from smart bathroom solutions and massage equipment to AI-powered robots and drones — before making a purchase decision.
The store features dedicated experience zones for robotics, coffee, PC gaming, DIY, and relaxation, creating an interactive and engaging offline shopping experience that blends commerce with leisure.
World-Class Brand Lineup
The Wan Chai store houses an impressive brand portfolio, including:
- International brands: Bosch, Siemens, Samsung, Sony
- Tech innovators: DJI, Xiaomi, AgiBot, Narwal, Ecovacs
- Leading Chinese brands: TCL, Hisense, Gree, Haier, Casarte, JOMOO
Several brands are making their Hong Kong offline debut exclusively through JD MALL.
Local Commitment, Global Standards
Operating on a “sourced in Hong Kong, sold in Hong Kong” model, all products meet local compliance standards. JD MALL also offers:
- 7-day no-reason returns for self-operated home appliances
- 180-day replacement for defective products
- Price guarantee — double the difference if you find it cheaper elsewhere
- Same-day delivery for orders placed before 11:00 AM
HKD 35 Billion Investment and Ambitious Growth Plans
JD.com’s cumulative investment in Hong Kong has exceeded HKD 35 billion across retail, logistics, technology, healthcare, and property businesses. The company has announced plans to:
- Open 6–8 additional JD MALL locations over the next three years, targeting Sha Tin, Mong Kok, and Tuen Mun
- Onboard 1,000 leading local and international brands
- Establish 200 offline retail locations across the city
- Support the creation of 10,000 jobs in Hong Kong
What This Means for Hong Kong E-Commerce
The opening of JD MALL represents a significant shift in Hong Kong’s retail landscape — bridging online and offline commerce through technology-led experiential retail. For HKFEC members and the broader e-commerce ecosystem, this development signals growing opportunities in omnichannel retail, smart commerce, and cross-border e-commerce collaboration within the Greater Bay Area.
