Immediate Release

(Hong Kong, April 1, 2019) The Ecommerce World Summit 2019 announced great opportunities in various countries and the positive prospect of e-commerce industry.

The events approximately attracted 10,000 people to attend and over 60 speakers shared their brilliant insights during the events. Well-known e-commerce organizations and industry leaders, such as Adobe, Zalora, Sephora, and so on, were invited to join.

Ecommerce World Summit 2019 aims to share latest market information and intensify the digital transformation journey of companies from all industries. At the Summit, there were many discussions on rise, sustainable development and death of e-commerce. 7 speakers representing different regions with expertise in different aspects were invited to introduce more about customer experience, online trade protection for both sellers and consumers, data protection, policy changes and expanding into foreign markets. They all provide constructive suggestions to enter a new market or new business with ever-changing conditions. Nearly all speakers come into a similar observation that the ecommerce market is becoming channel-less and borderless, the only focus remains on customer experience.

Mr. Joseph Yuen, Chairman of HKFEC and Rotating Chairman of WTA said, “It was my pleasure to join the panel discussion and interact with panelists and all delegates. We can see it is a precious and rare chance to have representatives from all around the world, so I personally appreciate the Summit very much. I shared some viewpoints on the business environment changes due to technology and human factor, and I can foresee that customer experience and security would be the main focus of e-commerce industry. Therefore, HKFEC and WTA will keep putting effort in assisting the industry to overcome challenges in these aspects.”

Mr. Bruce Ho, International Business Director, Shenzhen e-Business Better Service Centre said,” I am glad to be invited to the Summit and exchange ideas with fellow speakers and delegates. China has been changing and deploying measures to deal with counterfeiting products, and we are glad to show what we have done to secure and enhance consumer confidence in shopping on Chinese platforms. We will try our best to continuously build a trust-worthy consumption environment.”

Mr. Nicholas Kontopoulos, Regional Head of APAC and EMEA Commerce Marketing, Adobe expressed, “It was exciting to hear some great contents from all the great speakers. Consumers are become more tech-savvy and the trend of e-commerce would be integrating more business intelligence into the industry. Enterprises should learn to integrate all channels in order to provide a more sophisticated consumer experience”.

Ms. Anastasia Kovaleva, Head of China, E-commerce Russia Association mentioned, “The greatest point of conferences is to communicate with other people and build a strong network, the Ecommerce World Summit 2019 is definitely a good event providing us great networking. Russia has a brilliant environment for cross-border e-commerce with the support of huge amounts of active consumers, high duty-free allowance, and positive shopping attitude, so I absolutely encourage companies to expand their market into Russia.”

Dr. See-Kiat Toh, Global Chairman, Goodwins Law Corporation and Vice Chairman, CommerceNet Singapore said, “The Summit provide lots of interesting content that we could not hear from other events. We can see the trend of digital transformation is now also developing into brick-and-mortar, the new retail. Since the development is still on-going, we may not say which of offline or online channels may have a better sales result. No matter which channels you are in, trust is always the greatest key to success.

Mr. Kazutoyo Kawazure, Executive Director, Japan E-commerce Consultant Association said, “I am glad to be part of the Summit and introduce more about the e-commerce situation of Japan with the audience. Though we have some giant e-commerce leaders in Japan, we still consider Japan is at the beginning of e-commerce development with all the new emerging technologies coming. I am really excited to see the development of the industry when there is more deployment of technologies.”
