Event Highlight – Retail Cutting Edge 2018 – Road to Future E-Tailing

Hong Kong Federation of E-Commerce (HKFEC) held a Panel Session at Retail Cutting Edge in the StartmeupHK Festival orgainsed by InvestHK and Inside Retail at Hong Kong Convention Centre on 31 January 2018. The session title “Road to Future E-tailing” moderated by HKFEC Chairman, Joseph Yuen and our honorable guest speakers: Nicolas Brunau, MeiLing Talibart and Jean Luc LIM.
Mr. Yuen kick off the session by projecting the global ecommerce turn over by 2020. As E-commerce is changing the retail industry in every aspect, the evolution of every transactions are connected and smartly centralized on the big data cloud. The age of IoT further push all intelligent of shopping decision, payment and customer experience into a whole new paradigm. From all research found, Trust is a key of success with regards any disruptive technology behind.
After the introduction of HKFEC’s recent work on Safe.Shop, our guest speakers came on stage and have a fruitful sharing for their experience migrating from traditional retail into digital. All 3 speakers have rich experience in world leading retail brands for the area of retail operation, IT and supply chain.
