GuangDong and Hong Kong E-Commerce Seminar was successfully hold at conference room 2, 4/F, Department of Commerce of GuangDong Province. The event hosted by Dr Li Xue Fei, Director of Electronic Commerce Division, Department of Commerce of GuangDong Province; Mr Chen Xue Yang, Chief of Electronic Commerce Division, Department of Commerce of GuangDong Province; Mr Chen Xiao, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, GuangDong Province Electronic Commerce Association; Ms Wu Mu Zhen, Deputy Secretary-General, GuangDong Province Electronic Commerce Association, etc. The Seminar invited a team of 15 guests from Hong Kong including, Ms Jenny Wong, Head of Marketing Division, HKSAR Intellectual Property Department; Mr Joseph Yuen, Board Chairman, Hong Kong Federation of E-Commerce; Ms To Wai Bing, CEO of Hong Kong Television Network Limited, etc. Mr Chen Xiao, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, GuangDong Province Electronic Commerce Association, took the moderator role throughout the entire seminar.
Department of Commerce of GuangDong Province set a very high expectation for this GuangDong and Hong Kong information exchange on E-Commerce, and the event obtained the highest honor from Dr Li Xue Fei, Director of Electronic Commerce Division, Department of Commerce of GuangDong Province to give his opening speech and welcome all invited guests from Hong Kong. The Department of Commerce of GuangDong would like to see more interaction and cooperation between GuangDong and Hong Kong in the area of E-Commerce Development. After the opening speech from Dr Li, the seminar immediately went into market sharing from both side, starting from Mr Chen Xiao, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, GuangDong Province Electronic Commerce Association.

Follow by Mr Chen, the seminar came into the core part starting from Mr Joseph Yuen, Board Chairman, Hong Kong Federation of E-Commerce, who gave the background of the organization development as well as the current market situation of HK in E-Commerce, then Ms Wu Mu Zhen, Deputy Secretary-General, GuangDong Province Electronic Commerce Association gave her presentation in 3 parts that describe how China’s E-Commerce evolution, Government policies and Future development.

The next section came into business sharing from GuangDong and Hong Kong E-Commerce companies. Starting with Ms Xi Meng, Deputy General Manager, Guangzhou Regional Management Center, Suning Commerce Group Co., Ltd., Ms To Wai Bing, CEO of Hong Kong Televsion Network Limtied, Ms Terran Deng, Marketing Director, GuangZhou D-Mcark Infomrmation Technology Co. Ltd., Mr Mr Randal Hung, Marketing and Growth Manager, Shopline and Ms Jenny Wong, Head of Marketing Division, HKSAR Intellectual Property Department. Their sharing presentations were very fruitful to all participants of the seminar.

After the exchange session, the seminar came to the end. Mr Cheng Xiao, Executive Vice President and Secretary General, GuangDong Province Electronic Commerce Association took this opportunity to present an appointment certificate to Mr Joseph Yuen, Board Chairman, Hong Kong Federation of E-Commerce as their Advisor of Hong Kong Region. Each presenters also received a crystal trophy from the organisers as a gift of appreciation.
All parties demonstrated a great desire for further cooperation after the seminar, the market is looking forward to the E-Commerce momentum from this great team!
